
What It’s Like to Be Impossibly, Disgustingly Rich in GTA Online. The classic GTA game, which takes place in a fictional modern western, came out to rave reviews upon release in 2004. Anyone who downloads the launcher (and, we assume, signs up for Social Club) gets a free copy of GTA: San Andreas permanently added to their library. Right now, to try to get fans on board, they’re making a free offer for early users. Social Club also allows you to keep track of achievements, share content, and download content. Online gameplay has been a core part of the GTA franchise since, giving fans a platform to roleplay, accumulate wealth, and just mess around with other players in general. The service has been the catch-all for Rockstar’s online services since its 2008 launch for Grand Theft Auto IV. This launcher is the latest initiative likely aimed at expanding Rockstar Games Social Club, the publisher’s official online player communications service. It’ll also achieve other basic game launcher functionalities, such as keeping games automatically updated.
This launcher’s auto save feature is new to Rockstar’s online functionalities, as is the ability to keep track of your Rockstar library. The Rockstar Games Launcher syncs games with both its in-client purchases and those made on other online storefronts, such as Steam, as well as any physical/disc copies. Their own version of the launcher, simply called the Rockstar Games Launcher, is now available for free on PC.
